The 2013 Vin Santo del Chianti Classico (available in a precious 375-milliliter bottle) shows extraordinary softness and creaminess in terms of texture. It really is quite a feat, considering seven long years of aging in small caratelli barrels. The full-bodied blend of Sangiovese, Malvasia and Trebbiano is redolent of raw honey, candied chestnut, brown sugar and softly cured tobacco. Its appearance shines with hues of copper and gold. This is such a special treat to taste, and luckily, 14,000 bottles were made. Drink 2022 - 2045.

The 2013 Vin Santo del Chianti Classico is quite floral and lifted, with plenty of floral top notes from the Trebbiano and Malvasia that make up the core of the blend. Jasmine, rose petal, cinnamon, hazelnut and orange confit all grace this attractive, mid-weight Vin Santo from Fèlsina. Drink 2022-2032.

Lovely amber color with a coppery hue. Aromas of dried stone fruit, walnuts, almonds, crunchy pastry and dried spices. Delicious Vin Santo with everything in balance. Vivid acidity and medium-sweet with a crunchy fruity character, creamy texture and lingering finish. Drink now.
