2014 Kalleske Merchant Cabernet Sauvignon

Certified organic and matured for 14 months in French oak. Totally opaque inky black colour with a very deep dark purple black tinged hue. The nose reveals aromas of blackcurrant intermixed with black olives, dried herbs, some meatiness and spicy toasted cedar. Medium weight the palate possesses a tight structure and chewy mouthfeel with flavours of blackcurrant, dried meats, black olives and cedary cigar box characters. Dry firmish tannins. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, dried meats, cedary cigar box characters and spice. A meaty tightly knit Barossa Cabernet that will require some patience.
Cellar 5-6 years.
