Like the Suchots this is markedly floral in nature with a slightly darker fruit profile and an even wider range of spice elements. There is outstanding volume and richness to the palate soaking middle weight plus flavors that possess a seductive, even opulent texture on the firm and mocha-inflected finale. Once again, patience absolutely required. Drink 2030+.

Allen Meadows - Burghound

Bright red-ruby. Wonderfully sappy scents of black cherry and boysenberry are considerably more expressive today than those of the 2016. Suave and spicy on the palate, showing compelling sweetness to its red and black fruit flavors. There's a hint of coffee here but none of the exotic qualities of the preceding 2015s. Finishes compellingly long, with chewy but refined tannins and a captivating combination of sweet and savory notes. With its uncanny freshness and energy, this wonderfully precise wine is likely to require as much aging as the Suchots. Drink 2025-2040.
