2018 Delas Ventoux
Stretching out along the left bank of the Rhône river, around the limestone outcrop of the Mount Ventoux, the appellation of Ventoux covers an area of 15,808 acres. It shares the same pedological, climatic features and grape varieties as its neighbouring Côtes-du-Rhône vineyards. Made from a blend of Grenache and Syrah the wine is matured in stainless steel tanks for a period of 6-8 months.
Deep dark red core with black tinged edges and a bright dark red hue. Fragrant freshly crushed cherry and raspberry aromas intermingle with dried herbs, inky earth, subtle incense and spice notes. Delightfully fresh and moreish with light to medium body weight the palate dishes up a juicy flavour profile of red to dark berry fruits and liquorice over infusions of incense, dried herbs and spicy earth. Bright youthful finish with slightly dryish tannins and a delicious aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
