A generously flavoured Margaret River Cabernet Merlot.
A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 5% Malbec and 2% Petit Verdot with maturation taking in French oak (35% new) for 14 months. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced aromatics of blackcurrant intermixed with a combination of mulberries, subtle black olive and cedary tobacco are followed by some spice end notes. Medium to full bodied the palate possesses excellent richness delivering a generous flavour profile of ripe blackcurrant and subtle mulberries which overlay cedary tobacco characters and spice. Excellent tannin integration. Long aftertaste of blackcurrant, cedary tobacco characters and spice.

Other Reviews…
A typically well-made wine, bringing a complex but harmonious melange of aromas and flavours, fruit, oak and tannins welded together; blackcurrant, blackberry and a hint of dark chocolate are given further complexity by 14 months in French oak. Deserves to be cellared, and will reward. Drink by 2027.
