Matured in a combination of French and American oak for a period of 14 months. Midnight black heart with a deep dark red hue. Pronounced ripe blackberry and liquorice aromas mix with earthy mocha, vanillin oak and choc mint notes. Rich, full in body and opulently textured the palate is holding up very well. Concentrated ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark plum fruits overlay scorched earth, vanillin oak, subtle choc mint and traces of spicy leather. A ripe sturdy tannin structure is nicely integrated with the fruit. Concludes long and plump.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
Alc. 14.5%

Other Reviews….
There's a bit more throttle to this release than we've come to expect of shiraz under this label. It works a treat too. Grainy cherry-plum flavours with beefier notes/aspects, bolstered further by sweet, toasty, cedary oak. We're in business. Drink by 2030.
