2020 Santolin Gladysdale Pinot Noir

Matured in French oak, 30% new, on lees for a period of 10 months. Semi translucent red colour with a very light red hue. Attractive violet, red to dark cherry, strawberry and rhubarb aromas show plenty of elevation out of the glass with notes of dried herb, brambly cedar, forest floor and spice ensuing. Decorating the palate are silky textured flavours of red to dark cherries, rhubarb and wild strawberry with notions of dried herbs, brambly cedar, forest floor and spice lending further complexity across the back half. Possessing velvet smooth tannins, it’s amply powered yet elegant and finishes long, supple and spicy.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
