2013 Masi Costasera Amarone Classico

Dense midnight black at its core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Heady morello cherry, black plum and liquorice scents sail out of the glass trailed by dried herbs, earth, leather and spice. Rich, concentrated ripe morello cherry, dried and black cherry, black plum and liquorice flavours flood the mouth over a back drop of scorched earth, dried herbs, leather and spice. Dense, opulent and chewy in its mouthfeel with ripe muscular tannins providing a firm framework. Superb power with a very long and decadent conclusion that sees traces of walnut emerge.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.

The balance in this Amarone is so beautiful with chocolate, berry, walnut and cedar character. Medium to full body, polished and silky tannins and a flavorful finish. Always in balance. Wonderful to drink now.
