Bacardi Carta Oro Gold Rum (700ml)

First produced in 1862, re-launched around 2015 and named after the Spanish word for Gold, Bacardi Oro is the premium blend from the Bacardi stable based in Peurto Rico. Fourteen young rums make up the mix which is aged for just one to two years adding subtle notes of toffee and muscovado sugar. Filtered once through charcoal for smoothness, expect a lighter, drier style made for mixing.

Golden amber color. Dark caramel, anise cookie, and wet hay aromas. A round entry leads to a dryish medium-bodied palate with smoky caramel and peppery spice flavors.
