1966 Chabot Vintage Armagnac (700ml)
Note: The box has a suede-like lining that is prone to getting dirty. Nicks does not guarantee the condition of this lining.
Vintage Armagnacs are exclusively the product of the year mentioned on the label. Only exceptional years are selected and at Chabot, only twenty four "millesimes" have been produced since 1960. The rarity of these bottlings make them sought-after. Comes packaged in a wooden presentation box.
Tasting note: Deep gold ochre / mahogany colour. Sensuous aromatics include creme caramel, roasted almonds, coffee bean and vanilla notes - quite feminine when compared to the ’68 and certainly more layered, with time in the glass bringing out aromas of dried fruits (dates and dried apricot). Dried fruit repeats on the palate; vanilla and spice flavours are carried by the gently warming spirit. Finishes long and dry with a subtle dried apricot and roast almond fade. A lovely Armagnac, no question. 40% Alc./Vol.
