Much to the surprise of George Grant, the most popular year since the Family cask collection was released in 2007 has been 1979, reissued more than dozen times - and no, it’s not a sherried whisky. "It’s the lightest whisky in the Family Casks range, from a fourth-fill cask," says Grant. "Typically Glenfarclas is such a flavoursome whisky, but this appealed to a lot of people in different markets."

This edition was matured in a 4th fill hogshead. Distilled in 1979 and drawn from cask No. 11018 at 41.1% in August 2016. 300 bottles available.
