1979 Hunter Laing & Co. Old & Rare Heritage Benrinnes 40 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

This remarkable Benrinnes was distilled back in 1979 and left in a single barrel for four decades. Hunter Laing bottled the contents in 2019 for their Old & Rare Platinum selection, with the cask yielding 208 bottles at a cask strength of 42.1% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.

Notes from the bottlers... Nose: This bright gold whisky has notes of dried pineapples, furniture wax and green herbs on the nose. Palate: Oily and waxy in the mouth, with more fruity notes - orange, papaya and guava. Finish: The finish is long, fruity and satisfyingly drying.
