1984 Ben Nevis Single Cask No.98/35/13 25 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Official bottlings of Ben Nevis (aka 'Bennevis' and 'Benevas') are almost impossible to find at present. So when a 2010 single cask surfaced from a private collection, we were pleasantly surprised to say the least. These releases commenced in 1967, followed by a 1974 edition. They were so successful that the series was intended to continue indefinitely, however an interruption in production between 1978 and 1984 left a dry spell. This late 1984 distillation marked a welcome return. Bottled in May 2010 and initially dumped into x Bourbon barrels for 14 years, followed by a period in fresh sherry butts, we have one only.
