Batch 3 of Glenglassaugh’s "Rare Cask Releases" are now available, with each cask distilled between 1965 and 1986 providing a rare glimpse into the distillery's history. As expected, the Australian allocations are smaller then ever. We currently have just three expressions on offer: the 1975, 1978 and the 1986.

Notes for the '86 (distilled in February 1986), anticipate a deeply coloured, rich, flavoursome malt with strong PX input. This is one from a tiny outturn of just 425 bottles world wide.

Notes from Glenglassaugh: Colour: Golden mahogany. Nose: Dark chocolate, red grape, blackcurrants, black pepper and a floral oak spice. Palate: Fresh plum syrup, heather honey, gentle chocolate notes, candied ginger and soft barley sugar. 42.6% Alc./Vol.
