1988 Wynns Coonawarra Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

Another disappointment from the 1988 vintage! The 1988 Yalumba Signature and this wine have not stood the test of time – and clearly demonstrate that old wines are not necessarily good wines – although can be. Deep brick red colour, leafy vegetal nose, with aroma of leather and stewed fruit. On the palate the fruit flavours are falling away. Fine grained tannins lingering, leather, vegetal aftertaste. Drink.
