1991 Montgomerie's The Single Cask Collection Aultmore 23 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Founded in 1896, Aultmore was completely re-built in the 1970s. When in 1998, new owners Bacardi took over, they were new to the single malt trade. It wasn't until 2014 that the company invested in re-branding, presentation and the release of three novel expressions for duty free, followed by more core-range age statement for general retail in 2015. The distillery is now re-gaining lost ground in the market place. The style is full bodied and fruity, often with a slightly grassy, spicy edge. Here we have an early Bacardi-era distillation, well-aged and bottled at 46% / non chill filtered by independents, 'Montgomerie's' as part of their Rare Select series.
