Domaine Chandon was established by the French Champagne house Moet & Chandon. 1995 in the Yarra Valley was a relatively trouble free season that produced top quality fruit. The cool autumn prolonged ripening and resulted in Pinot Noir and Chardonnay base wines with very good fruit intensity and excellent length of flavour.Tasting Notes: A blend of 51% Pinot Noir, 48% Chardonnay and 1% Pinot Meunier. The wine is blend of 45 different base wines and has spent two and a half years on lees. The colour is brilliant straw yellow. The nose is a delight with yeasty Pinot characters dominating with nutty, honey and floral background notes. The palate is complex rich and creamy with a long dry finish.
