Glenallachie with any decent age statement is allocated in small parcels nowadays. This should be a typically full bodied expression of the distillery style with the edges softened by extended maturation, also notable for being drawn from a single refill hogshead, whereas most of the contemporary output comes from a mixed bag of sherry, wine and 'traditional' casks.
