1995 Sevenhill Cabernet Sauvignon

Brother John May continues to produce top reds with immense colour and concentration of flavour. Opaque, crimson purple colour with deep mauve edges. The nose is outstanding, almost perfumed - ripe blackcurrants, confectionary, spice and vanilla aromas are immediately obvious, with just a hint of marzipan. The palate displays excellent structure - ripe plum, blackcurrant, spice and confectionary flavours persist, with just a trace of earthiness. Firm tannin structure, excellent balance, and long confectionary, plum aftertaste. Cellar 5-10 years. A top red!
