1996 Chapoutier Rasteau Cotes du Rhone Villages

Medium weight, brick red colour. Perfumed, spicy raspberry/ strawberry nose. The palate has good depth of flavour and weight. Smoky oak, liquorice, raspberry and spice flavours are dominant. The tannins are firmish but in balance. Very easy drinking, cellar for 3-4 years. Long spicy, inky, raspberry, liquorice aftertaste.
