1996 Hardys Thomas Hardy Cabernet Sauvignon

The price of this wine has increased dramatically over the last years, and is a bit hard to justify, other than the fact that international demand for top reds exceeds supply. Very deep brick red colour with crimson hue. Superb perfumed nose, with aroma of spice, violets, cedar and blackcurrant. Mouthfilling palate, flavours of cedar, blackcurrant, tobacco leaf, liquorice and spice. Outstanding length and depth of flavour. Fine dry firmish tannins, followed by a long cedar spice aftertaste. Cellar 3 – 4 years. (2004 – 2005)
