1996 Pikes Cabernet Sauvignon

This is a very impressive red. Magnificent nose of ripe berries, blackcurrant, vanilla spice with confectionery notes in the background. The palate is filled with wonderful ripe berry flavour - lots of weight and perfect balance with its fine grained tannin structure. The palate flavours are dominated by ripe spicy blackcurrant with some cedar oak providing a counter point in the background to the ripe berry and dark cherry fruits. Cellar 5 - 8 years.
