Something that almost every whisky lover seems to agree on is a preference for Tobermory's peated line, Ledaig, over their standard bottling. We've had a good deal of independents offer us Ledaig over the years, but it's almost always young stocks. It's probably partly because like Springbank's 'Longrow', Ledaig is only produced for a few weeks of the year. Old, peated and cask strength - this expression from the reliable Laing's collection ticks all the boxes for a hard-to-find Ledaig.
