1998 d'Arenberg Olive Grove Chardonnay

Bright pale straw colour. Delicate vanilla, tropical fruit and peach nose with a subtle yeasty background. The palate displays flavours of citrus and grapefruit. Good acid backbone with a hint of butterscotch. Although the acidity forms a strong backbone the citrus flavours dominate. Straightforward, clean and long citrus aftertaste. A slightly leaner style, more restrained than previous years. Cellar 2-3 years.
