1998 Leasingham Classic Clare Sparkling Shiraz

Deep crimson colour with creamy mauve mousse. Fine bead, excellent persistence. Aroma of earth, truffle, ink and blackberry – quite remarkable for a 10 year old Sparkling – followed by exotic notes of dried raisins. Mouthfilling palate, with flavours of earth, leather and truffle, followed by, blackberry and ink. Clean finish. A vibrant wine which should continue to develop over the next few years.
