1998 Orlando Jacob's Creek Limited Release Chardonnay

Jacobs Creek Limited Release collection is pitched at the top end of the market, and has a clear objective of producing excellence. The wine has been barrel matured for 10 months in French oak and subsequently spent 16 months in bottle, prior to release. Bright golden colour, showing considerable bottle developed character. The nose displays strong notes of butterscotch and yeast lees over a background of smoky almonds. Mouthfilling palate, with very distinct flavours of yeast lees, butterscotch and spice. Which continues to last long into the aftertaste.
Cellar another 2-3 years (2003-2004).
