1998 Tyrrell's Vat 9 Shiraz

This wine was matured in new and old 500 gallon casks (2250 litres) together with a parcel of wine matured in small oak. Deep crimson colour with crimson hue. Medium body. Aroma of spice, plum and stewed fruit with dry tannins which are quite persistent. Flavours of stewed fruit persist, however, the fruit is drying out. Aftertaste of old leather followed by a touch of earth and spice.
