1998 Yalumba The Signature Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz (1500ml)

The 1998 Yalumba ‘The Signature’ is a tribute to Ross White who was involved in the sales department of Yalumba. Ross White believes that “Free enterprise and the notion that with a liberal dose of hard work, you can be whatever you want”. Ross further quotes the words of Irishman, Jonathan Swift, “may you live the days of your life”. He says that “if that is the measure of success in life, I consider myself a success”. The 1998 Signature is a great reflection of the White philosophy.

Very deep crimson black colour – almost opaque, with a deep crimson hue. Superb nose of violets, chocolate, spice followed by a lifted liquorice end note. The palate displays mouthfilling flavours of mocca, chocolate and spice, followed by a blackpepper back palate. Outstanding length and depth. Fine grained, perfectly balanced tannins – relatively tight, and certainly made for the long haul. Very long aftertaste of mocca, spice, blackcurrant and liquorice.
