1999 Parker Coonawarra Estate Terra Rossa First Growth Cabernet

The Parker First Growths are exceptional wines and have a strong track record of improving with cellaring - which is different to just holding together over a period of time. Made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Totally opaque black crimson mauve colour. The nose is perfumed - aroma of violets, Blackcurrant, confectionery, spice and a hint of truffle. Tight knit palate with superb solid, yet still yielding structure. Classic Cabernet, with strong flavours of cedar, blackcurrant and a hint of liquorice. Excellent length and persistence, with very spicy, black pepper back palate. Velvet smooth tannins followed by a long aftertaste of black pepper, blackcurrant and cedar. Cellar 5-8 years.
