1999 Willow Bridge Estate Chardonnay
Bright, straw colour. The nose displays distinct barrel ferment aroma, with butterscotch, biscuit, yeast lees and spice dominant. The palate takes on an interesting flavour twist which is dominated by a flor yeast and lees character. Nutty background with hints butterscotch, but a little shallow. Clean finish. Cellar 2-3 years.

This wine is developing rapidly and should be drunk sooner rather than later. Brilliant pale gold colour. On the nose delicate notes of melon, peach and tropical fruit, with hints of lees and butterscotch. Full bodied palate, but beginning to broaden out – flavours of tropical fruit, spice and melon. Soft acid finish. Tropical fruit aftertaste. Drink.
