2000 Grant Burge Shadrach Cabernet Sauvignon

A wine displaying complexity and refinement. The wine was matured for 2 years in French oak hogsheads. Very deep crimson brick red colour, showing bottle development. Medium body. Aroma of cedar, cigar box, spice and blackcurrant. The palate displays the layers of complexity that make this a superb drinking experience. Flavours of cedar and cigar box are layered over with new leather, mint, confectionery and blackcurrant. Fine grained tannins, excellent balance followed by a long aftertaste of stewed plum, confectionery, blackcurrant and cedar.
