The 2001 Langhorne Creek reds appear to be much more tightly structured than those of previous years making them an affordable cellaring proposition. Deep crimson colour with crimson hue. Appealing nose with aroma of dark chocolate, confectionary and truffle. The palate has good weight with spicy blackcurrant, blackpepper flavours. Long dryish tannins but in balance with the fruit, followed by a long peppery spice aftertaste.
