2001 Jindalee Estate Fettlers Rest Gewurztraminer
Bright straw colour. Subtle nose – much more restrained than the powerful styles made by Darryl Sefton (the previous owner of the Jindalee Estate). The style Sefton made, at what was then called Idyll Vineyard was big, broad and very powerful. Subtle notes of lychee, loquat and spice. The palate flavours are also restrained, lychee, baked apples and spice, slightly broad. Soft acid finish, with lychee aftertaste. Cellar 2-3 years (2003-2004).
