2001 Lake Breeze Bernoota Shiraz Cabernet

This wine is composed of a blend of 60% Shiraz and 40% Cabernet. Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson mauve hue. Aroma of plum, spice, blackcurrant and stewed fruit, followed by a vanillin endnote. The palate length is relatively short. Flavours of liquorice, spice and plum are evident, overlaid with spice and stewed fruit on the back palate. Fine grained tannins, with very good balance. Warm finish, with aftertaste of stewed plum, spice and liquorice allsorts.
