2001 Penfolds Koonunga Hill Cabernet Merlot

This is a new release from Koonunga Hill. Medium body, crimson red colour with crimson mauve hue. Aroma of spice, plum and liquorice followed by a delicate inky end note. The palate is driven by primary fruit flavours with the Merlot component dominant. On the palate, nuances of raspberry, inky blackberry and liquorice. Fine grained soft tannins, very drinkable, followed by a long spice, mulberry and liquorice aftertaste.
