2002 Bress Pinot Noir

A successful pinot, lighter than the 2001, with less evidence of new oak, a delightful summer red showing good varietal character.
Translucent crimson colour, with mauve hue. The nose has distinct varietal character, with aroma of spice and dark cherry/strawberry evident. The palate shows good depth of flavour, with flavours of spice and dark cherry emerging, followed by a hint of sweet strawberry and game. Fine grained, velvet smooth tannins, followed by a long dark cherry strawberry aftertaste.
Cellar 1-2 years (2003-2004).
