Opaque black crimson colour with deep crimson hue. The nose is impressive, displaying distinct varietal character. Notes of liquorice, blackcurrant, spice and violets emerge. The palate flavours are mouthfilling – with generous lashings of blackcurrant, dark chocolate, spice and stewed fruit flavour. Fine, dry tannins which persist onto the aftertaste with stewed fruit characteristics re-emerging.
