2002 Laurent-Perrier Millesime Champagne

Superb white creamy mousse with a deep straw pale gold base wine colour. Exceptionally fine bead showing good persistence. Aromas of yeast lees and biscuit are to the fore with a toasty overlay and some baked bread and light citrus characters as end notes. Refined palate with flavours of toasty baked bread, yeast lees and a touch of citrus followed by some subtle nutty cashew end nuances that persist through to the back palate. Clean crisp dry finish. Long aftertaste of yeasty baked bread, toast and some hazelnut.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
