2002 Penbro Estate Merlot

A good commercial wine. Crimson brick red colour with crimson hue. Medium body. The nose is straightforward with simple notes of stewed fruit, spice and liquorice emerging. The palate again is simple with stewed fruit and liquorice emerging. Soft tannins. Aftertaste of stewed fruit followed by a hint of earth.
