2002 Plantation Barbados Rum (700ml)

The first evidence of distillation on Barbados dates back to 1651. Plantation offer a contemporary expression from the island, sourcing rums from West Indies Rum Distillery. This vintage dated edition was distilled from molasses in 2002. It's a blend of pot still and column still spirits initially aged for 12 years in xBourbon casks, followed by a further 3 years in France in 350 litre x Cognac casks. Expect aromas and flavours of vanilla oak, citrus, nutmeg, evolving passion fruit, milk chocolate and tobacco notes. tropical, elegant, smooth and fruity. Very limited stocks.
