2002 Wirra Wirra Chardonnay

Bright straw colour. Aroma of melon, fig, yeast lees and biscuit supported by a subtle oak end note and grapefruit. The palate is not as robust as that of McLaren Vale Chardonnays, the Adelaide Hills district being higher in altitude and consequently cooler. Flavours of biscuit, yeast lees and grapefruit emerge over a hazelnut background. The acid levels are relatively high and will ensure good bottle development. Long aftertaste of yeast lees, biscuit and grapefruit.
