2003 Babich Marlborough Riesling

A delightful Riesling. Brilliant straw colour with pale straw hue. Lifted nose of orange blossom, spice and lime followed by a tropical fruit endnote – perfumed lift. The palate is mouthfilling, with exotic mandarin, paw paw and tropical fruit flavours, over a lime, lemon back palate. Clean acid finish. Aftertaste of lime, tropical fruit and mandarin.

First tasted, April 2004:
The colour of this wine is very advanced, being a deep straw with greenish hue. The nose is delicately perfumed. Aroma of lime, orange blossom and spice. On the palate, flavours of lime and spice emerge followed by a distinct lemon back palate. Crisp acid finish. Aftertaste of lemon, spice and a touch of lime.
