2003 Balthazar of the Barossa Shiraz

A delightful sniffing experience. Very deep crimson colour with crimson hue. Lifted nose of prune, vanilla, old leather, confectionary and plum. The palate has a voluptuous sensation with flavours of new leather, confectionary, prune and spice over a black pepper back palate. In the background, layers of liquorice allsorts, confectionary, vanilla and plum. Very spicy back palate, with long aftertaste of prune, blackberry, vanilla and liquorice.
