2003 Reschke Bos Cabernet Sauvignon
Brick red colour with brick red hue. Medium body. Top note of blackcurrant followed by cedar and spice with old leather end notes. On the palate flavours of old leather are meshed with new leather, stewed fruit and liquorice. Fine grained tannins. Leather and spice aftertaste. The wine is on the edge of falling over.

The 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon “Bos” was barrel fermented and aged in a mix of American oak hogsheads and French barriques. Purple/black in color, the wine exhibits a fragrant bouquet of earth, cassis, black currants, and dark chocolate. This leads to a medium-bodied, elegant Cabernet with layered red and black fruit flavors, chocolate, and ripe tannins. Give it 2-3 years to fully blossom and drink it through 2023. Reschke, whose first vintage in 1998 was well received in this journal, has emerged as the rising star of Coonawarra, a region in need of an infusion of new blood.
