2004 Clairault Swagman's Sauvignon Blanc Semillon

Brilliant pale straw colour with pale straw hue. Subdued nose of tropical fruit, followed by a hint of lemon and spice. The palate reveals a hint of residual sweetness, with flavours of Jonathon apples, gooseberry and tropical fruit. Clean acid finish. Aftertaste of tropical fruit, gooseberry and lemon.

First Tasted, November 2004:
A very light example of the style. Bright waterlike colour. Subdued aroma of confectionary and ripe gooseberry followed by a hint of tropical fruit. The palate flavours are dilute, with delicate tropical fruit emerging, followed by a subtle grassy back palate. Soft acid finish.
