2004 Cloudy Bay Chardonnay

An impressive, complex Chardonnay. 

Bright, deep straw colour with pale straw hue.  The nose reveals that this wine has been 'worked hard' with aromas of honeycomb, flor yeast, toast and roast almonds.  The palate again reveals complex secondary flavours.  A touch of citrus emerges on the palate followed by honeycomb and roast hazelnut.  Excellent length with flor yeast in the background.  Long aftertaste of flor yeast, hazelnut, toast and citrus.
Cellar: 2-3 years (2008-2009)
