2004 Leasingham Classic Clare Sparkling Shiraz

One of Australia’s benchmark Sparkling Shiraz’ this wine pours with an excellent purple mauve mousse showing good hold. Very fine bead showing good persistence with a black dark red base wine colour. Lifted aromas of blackberry, liquorice, plum and confectionary are followed by a touch of blackpepper as an end note. The palate possesses excellent body weight, concentration and richness displaying flavours of blackberry, liquorice and plum pudding with some leather overtones and blackpepper on the finish. Creamy texture. Excellent length with long aftertaste of blackberry, liquorice and blackpepper.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
