2005 Adelphi Trinidad Distillery Single Cask 19 Year Old Cask Strength Trinidad Rum (700ml)

A single cask selection of molasses-based rum, distilled in 2005 and left to mature in a bourbon barrel resulting in lots of fruit and funk. Trinidad Distillery remains one of the largest rum distilleries in the Caribbean, yet cask strength independent bottlings are seldom encountered. 244 bottles produced at 58% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.

Notes from the bottlers... On the nose, aromas of old rubber tires and unripe banana mix with overripe paya, guava and powerboat petrol. A lighter and brighter side shines through on the palate, with glorious powdered citrus fruit juice and oversweet lemonade, sherbet dip, Italian ice and blue raspberry softening that boozy funk from the nose.
