2005 Gemtree Vineyards Citrine Chardonnay

Retasted: Brilliant straw colour with water like hue. Aroma of peach, melon and spice, followed by a hint of fig. The palate has good weight but not great concentration of flavour. Peach and melon flavours on the palate are followed by a citrus back note. Clean acid finish. Aftertaste of peach melon and tropical fruit.

First Tasted, 22/03/2006: A relatively light Chardonnay. Brilliant apricot straw colour with water like hue. Subdued nose of yeast lees, cashew and biscuit. The palate is light with flavours of lemon and grapefruit followed by a light tropical fruit back palate. There is a little length or depth. Soft acid finish.
