2005 Noon V.P. Vintage Port (500ml)

Noon's V.P. is a single vintage wine, aged in barrels for 18 months and ideal for further bottle aging. The fruit comes from estate-grown bush-vine Grenache, planted in 1934, with low yields of around 1.5 tons per acre. Winemaker Drew Noon notes that while the wine ages beautifully and becomes rich and smooth after 10 years, it is also enjoyable when young. Made from 100% old vine Grenache, it lacks the firmer tannins often found in young fortified wines made from Shiraz, Cabernet, or traditional Portuguese port grapes.
